Cultural Celebrations

Indigenous culture is celebrated each year in our NAIDOC Days or in Multicultural  Week.  Activities may include dance performances, indigenous games, a visit by some classes to nearby Ngutana-Lui Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Studies Centre, cultural sharing. storytelling, art and displays.

A troupe of Durack indigenous students performed the Sand frog Play at Inala Library during Black History Week.

Our Yarning Place was built in the State Schools of Tomorrow project.  It is also used for Breakfast Club and as an outdoor learning area.  The door of the old Parent Room, with its indigenous motifs,  was preserved and placed in this area.
